Southborough Forums: Buses at Gulbankians once again! - Southborough Forums

I was wondering if people in town are aware that once again there will be school buses operating out of Gulbankian's property on Rt. 85. They plan to lease their property to an outside bus company to have buses parked on their unpaved lot once again. As a neighbor, I am horrified. Not only will it cause fumes, dust (can you imagine the dust that is kicked up by over 30 buses pulling out of a lot!!), and added traffic to an already hectic intersection, it seems no one is concerned about the environmental impact. Their lot is just feet away from the reservoir and conservation land.

With so many industrial areas in our little town, I don't understand why a residentially zoned area is being used for this type of business. There are countless lots (paved already) that could be used with no environment impact.

If you are as concerned as I, I would encourage you to take action. They will come before the Zoning Board of Appeals on June 23rd, at 7pm, to finalize the plan. Letters to the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Selectmen are also encouraged.
